Hey there, warrior. I just wanted to hop on and share a little thought I had yesterday during a live writing session that I do over on YouTube on Saturday mornings, we do some writing sprints, and then we just chat about different things. And between sprints, it kind of came up because I wasn’t like sprinting writing. I wasn’t cranking out words during the sprints because I’ve been doing more, just some reflecting. I mentioned in one of my videos I lost a very good friend this past week.
So I’ve just been more reflecting on that and kind of journaling. And I think that that’s also really important. So when you set aside time for writing, so few of us have a lot of time to do that. And that time we set aside is so precious that we think we have to get all the writing done in that time. So that’s why sprints are really popular.
You know, I’m going to set a timer for 25 minutes and just sprint. But I also think it’s really important to just spend that time maybe journaling, just jotting down some thoughts, maybe even sitting in quiet, sitting in peace, staring off into nothing with a pen and a paper maybe, and just writing down things as they come up. So I think that part of it is just as important as the writing sprints. So maybe think about that the next time you sit down to write or sit down to create something. But that time sitting and reflecting and thinking is just as important as the time spent sitting and writing and actually creating.
Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Now go fight for your creativity.
